Los Pinos Coffee Cooperative is your new access point to spectacular Lake Coatepeque, an otherwise very private attraction! This guided hike begins at the top of the mountain ridge surrounding this picturesque crater lake, recently nominated as one of the new 7 Wonders of the Natural World, and slowly descends along coffee and primary forest trails to the water's edge. This interpretative trail is dotted with spectacular look out points, giving you excellent views of the sparkling lake and the ancient volcanic walls surrounding it. At the bottom you'll be able to take a swim and spend your time relaxing in the grassy lawn or on the newly constructed dock!

	By Car: Take the highway from San Salvador toward Santa Ana. After passing the Shell gas station on the right, take the El Congo exit. Take a left toward Sonsonate. You'll cross a bridge and then take the road toward Cerro Verde. Los Pinos is at Km. 55 1/2, on the right side, after a few tiny restaurants. There's a large green gate door with security guards.
	By Bus: From the bridge in El Congo, you can take bus route 23 (direct), the 209, or the 248 Cerro Verde. The bus route is called Ruta de la Venciadora. There is also a pick up truck that goes toward Los Pinos and MonteBello.
