Nahuizalco

This EcoExperiencia will take you though colorful Nahuizalco, home to one of the most longstanding native communities and arts and crafts production sites in El Salvador. During the pleasant guided walking tour through the streets, you will visit the most iconic city sites, have the opportunity to share the daily life of local townspeople and feel the warmth of the local people.

You'll visit the Iglesia El Calvario (Stations of the Cross Church), which dates back to the time of the Spanish colonization and the local street market called "el tianguis" (pronounced tee-AHN-ghees), where several of the vendors still wear their traditional dress. Other stops include the San Juan Bautista Chapel and local artisan workshops and their stores. The authenticity of this enriching experience can be replicated in very few other tourism destinations in the country.
